Lauren Lucas is a third year Civil Engineering Student here at Oregon State University. She is originally from Lincoln, a small town in Northern California, where she first became interested in Civil Engineering through a high school teacher who had a love for the profession. She chose to pursue her degree at OSU for both its beautiful campus and its outstanding program. Recently accepted into CECOP, Lauren is planning on graduating in December of 2018.
Outside of the classroom, Lauren is an active member of Phi Sigma Rho, an engineering sorority on campus. She is extremely grateful for the opportunity to network so closely with other women in the engineering field. This summer Lauren participated in the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) program at OSU where she was given the opportunity to explore structural analysis methods both by hand and through computer programs such as SAP2000. In terms of relaxation, Lauren loves being outdoors, listening to music, and watching Netflix with friends.
