Diversity is an essential element to success in many areas: from ecosystems and neighborhoods to music and universities. At OSU Engineering, we are committed to making engineering careers and research accessible to people with diverse backgrounds, beliefs, gender, and ethnic origins. Through diversity, we all benefit and grow, which is why we are continually looking for new ways to engage historically underrepresented populations and people of color in our engineering programs. Together, we all help build a better future for the whole world.
Historically, young women and minorities have not been encouraged to pursue careers in engineering, yet engineering can be extremely fulfilling and rewarding. We're committed to bringing more woman and minorities to OSU to become tomorrow's engineers through our three pronged approach of Recruitment, Retention and Research.
The College of Engineering at Oregon State University is ranked 4th in the nation for our number of women professors at Ph.D. granting institutions!
